Biodiversity

Living hedge panels provide temporary shelter for wildlife and help meet Biodiversity Net Gain requirements during active construction.

🤝

Community Relations

A cared-for, natural boundary signals respect for neighbours — turning a construction frustration into a positive, shared streetscape feature.

🔒

Security

Forklift-weight bases cannot be moved by hand once locked in place, keeping the site secure and unauthorised access out.

The Project

Reframing the
Construction Perimeter

Temporary construction fencing is typically ugly, short-lived, wasteful, and easy to breach. GreenGuard investigates how that boundary could instead become a productive asset — supporting biodiversity, improving visual quality, and fostering stronger relationships with surrounding communities.

Each hollow recycled plastic base is filled with drainage rocks and soil, topped with a live hedge and moss layer, all fed by an integrated soaker hose. The regulatory metal mesh is concealed with live hedge branches woven through it.

At just £25 per panel per month for the entry option, GreenGuard sits comfortably within builder budgets while offering something entirely new to the construction fencing market.

In Action

More Than Just a Fence

Where standard Heras fencing creates conflict with communities, GreenGuard creates a living boundary that improves aesthetics for pedestrians, fosters better relations with neighbours, and promotes biodiversity where construction sites usually destroy it.

Installation & Security
Forklift-Ready. Tamper-Proof.
Each panel is forklifted into position and locked in place. Once set, the combined weight of soil, water and the planted base means the system cannot be moved by hand — significantly improving site security and preventing unauthorised access.
Modular by Design
Panel System
Modular by Design
Recycled plastic base, live hedge, galvanised steel mesh and tubular poles combine into one integrated system — quick to install, easy to repair, and built for reuse across multiple sites.
Softening the Site Edge

Softening the Site Edge
From above, the green boundary creates a clear, natural separation between active construction and the public realm — a softer, more considered site presence that respects the surrounding neighbourhood.
Bridging Site & Suburb
Urban Context
Bridging Site & Suburb
In a residential context, GreenGuard transforms the relationship between construction and community. The living boundary mirrors the hedges and gardens of surrounding homes rather than clashing with them.

Process

From Site Survey
to Green Boundary

01

Site Survey

We visit your site, review drawings and confirm exact panel quantities, placement and any level changes required.

02

Order Online

Select your panel types, customise quantities and optional add-ons, then submit your quote request directly from this site.

03

Delivery & Install

Panels arrive on lorry. Each unit is forklifted into position and locked in place — too heavy to be moved by hand, keeping the boundary secure.

04

Maintain & Return

Monthly pruning and checks keep growth healthy. On completion, panels are forklifted back on to the lorry and returned to the yard.
